I have been painting quite regularly for a change over the past week or two. Trying to teach myself to paint faster keeping the painting looser and less like a photograph. All of the paintings I just listed for sale were all painted Alla Prima, all in one sitting with the exception of Annie Gee the old fishing boat.
Each of the Alla Prima paintings were painted beginning with a palette knife laying down large amounts of paint quickly and finishing up with the largest brush possible leaving a much more painterly effect! The most colorful paintings took about 2 hours to paint.
